Famous landmark of Kharkov is the Victory Monument, often referred to as the "Mirror stream" or "Crystal stream." It is a recognizable style of openwork gazebo, similar in design to the one in Kislovodsk, Russia, where it is called just "Gazebo".
There is even a legend that the gazebo was erected by a Kharkov official for his mistress in memory of their vacation in Kislovodsk. On the 60th anniversary of the "Crystal stream" it was reconstructed. Fountain water dances happily and shapes magnificent figures illuminated at night. At the foot of the fountain the stream is flowing out to the pool which is a flat strip like a mirror, which gave the popular name to the fountain.
